"Thank you Marshal Zeb and I did not go to town looking for or hoping to find a fight, we just wanted to relax and have fun which we were as we were playing that drinking game.As for Hank and his friends I can say that based on what Hank was saying about Blaze he knew that as her man Zeb would defend her honor, like I said any man would. That was Hanks way of getting what he wanted, Zeb was gonna fight with fists cause that is just the way you do it. Hank wanted a gunfight and wanted more blood than what a simple fisticuffs would give him, and the friend that went outside must have felt the same way and went outside to make sure there was a lot of blood."
Game over!

From the porch, Vanessa observed the intense conversation between Ace, the marshal, and the deputy, her unease growing with each passing moment. The gravity of their discussion weighed heavily on her mind, prompting a restless energy to build within her.Unable to resist any longer, she descended the porch steps with hesitant footsteps, her heart pounding with apprehension. Shane, her faithful companion, remained by her side, offering silent reassurance.
Approaching the group, she greeted Marshal McCallister and Deputy Sullivan with a tentative smile, though her concern was evident in her eyes.
"Marshal, Deputy Sullivan,"
she said, her voice tinged with worry.
"I couldn't help but notice the seriousness of your conversation. Is everything alright?"
Despite her attempts to remain composed, Vanessa's inner turmoil betrayed her true feelings, as she anxiously awaited their response, fearing the implications of their discussion.

Marshal McCallister listens carefully to Ace's account, his expression somber as he absorbs the gravity of the situation. As Ace describes the rapid escalation of events and the struggle between Zeb and Hank, the marshal nods in understanding, recognizing the dangerous nature of the confrontation."Thank you for sharing your recollection, Mr. Carson,"
The marshal says solemnly, acknowledging the weight of Ace's testimony.
"It's evident that the situation quickly spiraled out of control, and your actions outside likely prevented further tragedy."
As Ace's narrative unfolds, detailing the desperate struggle between Zeb and Hank, Marshal McCallister's concern deepens. The marshal contemplates the implications of Hank's actions and the chaos resulting in his demise.
When Vanessa approaches, the marshal offers her a brief nod of acknowledgment before returning his focus to Ace. He knows there will be a time for further questions and discussions, but for now, he remains intent on gathering as much information as possible to piece together the events of that fateful night.
