"Hmmm?" she answered.

"Just checking if you want another one?"

She thought about it a minute and shook her head.

"Nah, but thanks. Probably should just finish this one and head home to get a little bit of sleep. Busy week."

Bobby nodded.

"I hear you, there V."

He laughed and she slowly drained the last of her beer.
Paid for it and pulled out her phone to call her ride to go home.

Her sashay flowed liquid around the mope and shuffle of human cockroaches who could find any corner of any place to get away from the light, to chem up. You sat like you were waiting, maybe waiting for her.

She stopped inside of your reach, almost like an extension of trust.

She shifted on her barstool , turning to watch the people playing pool.
Couple of guys placing bets on who'll win.
Eyes moved from the pool table over the room in general. Just scoping out the patrons tonight.
