After the menu, which is easy enough to make a decision on, his attention shifts. Ocular implant shifting gears, so that his attention is only kind of present, that slight, middle-focused gaze that you saw the other day when he was looking through your code.

That's not what he's doing now - he's probing the network security, to see if he can get in deeper to find the information he needs.

All the same, he's not expecting a familiar face, or the sound of his name, and he's blinking back, a moment before his focus fully centres on you. A blink, this one of surprise, a shy, but friendly smile surfacing.

"Free?" A little shake of his head, but to himself. "I mean, hi." An inviting little gesture, to the table as a whole. As he does, activating the program Nobunaga had shared with him to, well, keep both of them a little safer with the neurochemicals you put out.

"Did you want to join me?" As soon as he says it, he's doubting it. "I mean, um, no pressure - but - you're welcome to?" Everything he's saying is coming out like a question again.

This is not super abnormal.

There is a limit to how long you can keep a severed thumb in your pocket and she believes the one in her possession has... ripened.

She arrives with slinking paces that roll her hips in combat boots as if she was rocking sky-high heels. There is the clatter of cutlery on dishes, the general hum of conversations interspersed with too-loud laughter from a gathering at a table here or there.

As far as neutral territory for a drop point goes, this will do.

They are in every crowd. Her molten gaze skims from one patron to the next, her self-control firmly in place, but some look back at her in ways that make the pit of vipers in her gut begin to churn. There is no safe place she's ever been to, but at least this venue is busy and she doesn't have to exit the building to return to her apartment.

Just in case, she checks her venom: 100%. Set to mild nervous system interruption, nonlethal.

It's an uncomfortable feeling, to stand there and need a table to meet the courier and to look around and see them all full.

But then she sees a familiar face. She shouldn't bother you. You gave her so much of your time already.
She hesitates, but then she's in motion, gliding across the scuffed flooring toward your table where she pauses.

She sounds breathless, like she's coming down from a peak that's left her flustered and hot. "Perry?"

Pircing eyes look around abd she almost *giggles* ...thinking the urts gor Master .*boy are tge urts looking for a fight *lol*

They're dressed for work because it is still work...all the way to the drop off. It's crazy to 'Ree that getting something from a back alley chemist in Dogtown is somehow safer than going to see the one person they really, really want to see.

The potshots seemed like really lazy death threats relative to what the Claws had tried.

This isn't like the Doc's fancy pickup, either. No visibly marked containers with high end seals on them. There's a can inside a jar and it's all wrapped in hazy film. The fill was 'Ree's idea because they didn't trust the jar.

The money's good. They tell themselves that. Hazard overage means rent gets paid on time without having to dig into the very back of the pantry, and still enough money to keep their basil alive.

On delivery, and the delivery's to be done in person. Time for the professional smile and the crisp edges...but they're missing Betty already, and want to get back on her to do something stupid.

With the end of his job in sight, the need to say near the Corpo Plaza is minimized. And he's kind of tired of being on the wrong end of the city for the person people he wants to see.

Moving somewhere more midtown makes sense. Maybe he can have a bed on the floor, instead of above his kitchen.

So today he'd done something of a tour, of looking at places, and now he's grabbing a belated dinner at the diner. Might as well see if the food was good.

Also, he had networks to check out. This place won't work if it doesn't have the capability to have a Netrunner's rig. It should, given the sheer amount of people here. There was analysis to do, and he could do that over a synthburger and fries as well as anything else.

It's busy, though, busy enough that he's just in time to snag the last available table. As he settles, accessing the menu to check it out, too - ordering for him is simple, but he probably will order something for Briar on his way out, too.

Though she probably won't have time to eat it tonight.

Most folks are here with others, as far as he can tell.
