She took the card, invoking some deep and ancient knowledge from aeons past — a clean and tasteful looking access card with the "E11EVEN" logo with the two numeral-ones facing each other to look like the outline of the tower, and held it aloft near the control panel, waiting to be recognized.

Nevermind the somewhat spartan, ratty condition of the main elevator, and the droning advertisement in the background abated its volume before the screen flickered off of it and showed, instead, a graphic indicating that they were on the wrong elevator, because this was only servicing the bottom-thirty.

"Oooh, y-yeah I knew there was something off! Says on the map we gotta go to the nicer lift over there…"

To go down then back up, and while this second elevator was far cleaner and nicer — it was still not comparable to the best of what could be offered up in North Town. Neither was it the Preferred elevators that actually had access to the tippy-top here, either.

Still… far quieter, first off, and missing the large, automatic advertisement and news reel that bathed the area in ubiquitous cacophony.

As the doors closed, MILLIE shifted her stance to and reached into her purse to find some edgy black-and-red napkins from Master's Call — for your face.

"They probably got a medkit or something inside, like in the bathroom or… o-or maybe the bedroom, if they're kinky."

Floor 69 was nice… well it was more in line with their expectations but still a couple shouts down from dinosaur bones and diamond eating utensils.

Crazy how this floor had a massive price premium over even the nearest few floors above it, like it had a superstitious power. ANYWAY, she was reviewing the gig file from their contact back in Dogtown, which gave them the exact address that this card would open.

Inside? Eeehhh… it was decidedly middle-class, for the midpoint of Night City. Compared to Dogtown, however, this was The Great Gatsby.
It looked like it was inhabited by, perhaps, a young professional couple the way it was cleanly furnished with a modern sense. Pops of color interrupting a tapestry that lingered on a soft beachy color scheme, faux wood and what would be natural light in the daytime, comfortable but not ostentatious.

Nothing turning heads, really, and yet considering the location and the city, this probably still cost a small fortune to afford.

Meandering around the interior would, inevitably, give away clues as to the residents. Huh, apparently Knux was enough of a presence to afford a cameo in one or two pictures that rotated through animated slideshows on a few picture frames.

The girl who featured in basically every single picture, though? Looked exactly like MILLIE, just in her usual red hair instead of the false turquoise that she was wearing tonight.

She hadn't noticed, however, as she wasn't really trying to steal picture frames. Neither was she nearly as hungry as you were, having instantly traversed to the bedroom to see if she could raid the resident's closet and grab suitcses, just like she said she would. Planning ahead, you see!
