Closing my eyes yesterday I felt an enormous homesickness for it was very specifically autumn...leaves on the ground, the sweet smell of decay, wet wool, wet dog...a shining glance sent up through the trees to an October blue sky It was heaven and I couldn't get there.

It shouldn't surprise anyone to know that there are areas of Heaven that smell like wet dog.
