That's an A-OK reason to take the day off, especially if you have the time to do it.

And - yes, it sucks to put it lightly. But I didn't see there being any other option. It was also like being able to say goodbye to her in a way as well.

We would talk on the phone, no where near to the extent that she and Ry and possibly others did. But, often enough that we knew things about each others lives. So - it was I think a good thing to be able to do that. To get a sense of closure and say goodbye to her in a medium that we had the most interaction.
