Perhaps it was the delivery...perhaps it was that look, and then maybe it was simply just for no reason at all.

She rose from her chair and looped around where you sat and looped her arm just beneath your own and pulled you to stand and proceeded to leave the room with you and lead you down the hall to the back area where her office was. and with that both disappeared behind closed doors...business you know

He grinned as he picked up his tankard, he likes a woman that is confidant.

He noticed Bernices approach to the table and the envelope she handed you. He gave her a nod of his head as she turned to leave, he started to watch you open it but turned his gaze to look around the room cause that was none of his business

Smiles as you come over to flop down, and then kinda makes a little face as you kiss her earlobe, but then smiles wildly.

"It's okay. Wires get crossed sometimes. You are always welcome here, little one."

Nods lots.

She smirks a little and eyes you with that amber gaze, before just over the edge of her tankard and before taking another drink she said,

"but...you will..."

and at that moment Bernice approached, a subtle yet purposeful look in her eyes. Bernice held a small envelope, sealed with a simple wax stamp, and leaned in close to Treson’s ear.

“This just came in,”

Bernice whispered softly, stepping back with a nod, her eyes conveying the importance of the message.

Treson watched Bernice walk away, With a quick glance toward Gunnar, she raised a thin brow in silent acknowledgment of the discreet delivery.

Sliding off to the side of the table, Treson carefully opened the envelope, making sure to keep her actions concealed from prying eyes. Inside, she found what she expected to find. Running her thumb over the contents, she felt the familiar texture, assuring her that everything was as it should be.

With a nod of satisfaction, she reclosed the envelope and slipped it securely into a inner pocket . Her mind was already planning ahead, knowing that in two days' time, she should expect the arrival of a certain someone to collect the package. Everything was accounted for, and she felt a sense of calm wash over her.

Stops mid-step and turns to head back over to her bed to flop back onto it.

"I mean, if you don't want me near you, all you have to do is say so."

Giggles.
