Elijah's heart swelled with appreciation as he listened to Isabella’s thoughtful response. Her insights were invaluable, and he was grateful for her willingness to discuss such matters openly.

As the barmaid returned with their drinks, Elijah nodded his thanks and handed Isabella her whiskey before raising his own glass.

"To us, and to always finding strength in each other, no matter what comes our way."

They clinked glasses, the sound a small but significant symbol of their unity. Elijah took a sip of his drink, savoring the warmth that spread through him. But he also knew there would never be a moment that things were completely calm, for back in the back regions of his mind he went over and over possabilities of why things had been so quiet lately and where Brigid and Lyasnader were at and what they were after.

"You make a good point, Isabella. Expanding their hunting grounds would make sense. They’ve always been strategic, and it wouldn’t surprise me if they’re looking to strengthen their numbers."

He gazed into her eyes, feeling a sense of comfort in her presence.

"Your knowledge and intuition are invaluable, Isabella. If you notice anything unusual or have any other insights, please let me know. Together, we can stay ahead of whatever Brigid and Lysander are planning."

He took another sip of his whiskey, his mind already working through the possibilities.

Your words touched her heart deeply for she loved not only hearing that but knowing it as well. She watched the barmaid make her way to the table, glancing at you before she arrived a twinkle in her eye, then she looked to the barmaid

"I think I will have a whiskey please."

She looked back to you as you placed your order a nod to her head as you asked her that question

"I have noticed that as well, I have not felt them as much as I did, and I have been thinking about that. Now I do not think they up and left Brigid and Lysander like the village too much to abandon it. I think they have gone out to maybe widen their hunting ground, could even be looking to expand their group you know like have the one here and another close by.

I do not mind talking about this my Love."

She did have first hand knowledge of vampires being one herself but not in the vain of those two, so she does not mind talking about them for she might know something that could help you

Elijah felt warmth in his chest at Isabella’s words, a feeling that momentarily lifted his heavy burden. Her unwavering support and love were his anchor in the storm of his life.

"I know, Isabella. And I am eternally grateful for that. You also complete me; I can’t imagine my life without you."

He waved over the barmaid, still holding Isabella’s hand, and turned to her with a soft smile.

"What would you like to drink, my love?"

Once you ordered your drink he would do the same for his own.

As the barmaid nodded and fetched their drinks, Elijah returned to Isabella. He could see the depth of her feelings in her eyes, giving him a sense of peace.

" I’ve noticed the attacks have lessened recently. It’s been quieter than usual. What do you make of it?"

He knew that discussing the lack of attacks was important, but he also wanted to hear what she was thinking. She always had a unique perspective that he valued.

"Or is there something else on your mind that you’d like to talk about tonight?"

As they awaited their drinks, Elijah was determined to make the most of their time together, cherishing the connection and love that bound them through all the trials they faced.

She has always been able to see both sides of a situation, always listens with open ears and heart, something she has honed over the years. You were her other half, you completed her and she knew she could never be without you. She felt a pull to our connection when you took her hand that made her breath catch in her throat

"I like the sound of that Elijah and we shall enjoy what we can, we always do my Love."

She felt that squeeze to her hand and a shiver ran down her spine. She would cherish this time with you as she always does, and when all else is said and down it is love that matters that wins out and we have a deep unending love that binds us together forever.

Why you took down your post about your good friends Ray and Jackie. Many good suggestions and well wishes left.

And last I saw you had 22 or 23 responses. A few weeks ago you lamented at the lack of responses to your posts.

The was a post where the good citizens of SOI stood behind you and send well wishes.It was a relatable post. Shame it is gone now.

Elijah felt the warmth of Isabella's hand as she gave his a gentle, reassuring squeeze. Her touch and words were a balm to his troubled soul.

"It's moments like these that remind me why it's all worth it."

As they made their way through the other patrons, Elijah led Isabella to a table off to the side of the fireplace, where the flickering flames cast a warm, inviting glow. He pulled out a chair for her, watching as she settled gracefully into it.

"Thank you, Isabella. For always being here, for understanding."

There were some things about you that he would never understand.
Some of the ability that you honed in the way of measuring that understanding that you gave floored him really, still ever present were you, now and he was glad for it. He reached out and took her hand once more, the connection between them palpable. Her eyes never left his face, and he felt a surge of gratitude and love for the woman before him.

"Tonight is for us, for the memories of those who have passed, and for the future we will build together. Let's Just...enjoy what we can."

With that, Elijah squeezed her hand gently, his heart filled with determination to cherish every moment they had, knowing that in this uncertain world, love was the one thing that truly mattered.

She could see that tinge of sorrow in your smile as it was mirrored in her own, she gave a gentle reassuring squeeze to your hand as we maneuvered our way through the other patrons

"That is true it is nice to have a chance to get away for a little bit."

She had been looking at the others within the tavern but her eyes moved to you when you spoke

"That it is Elijah...I agree lets make the most of tonight for them and for us."

You lead her to the table off to the side of the fireplace and she settled into the chair you had pulled out for her. When you had settled into your chair she reached out and took your hand once more. Her eyes never left your handsome face something she loved to do whenever she had the chance, for she loved you deeply and truly, she was determined to make this a wonderful night for you

Suddenly wonders if everybody left.
