Her thumb continued to trace gentle circles on his hand, a soothing and intimate gesture.

Evelyn shifted slightly, leaning in closer to him. "I’d love to just relax here and talk,"

she said, her voice soft and filled with warmth.

She looked into his eyes, her own reflecting the deep connection she felt.
