She stood beside you outside of the tavern, it was nice to step out of our place for a little bit, she was looking forward to a little change of scenery. She was not nor would she be so foolish as to let her guard down she knows that there is still bad happenings going on. She looked up at the sign feeling the cool night breeze against her skin and dancing through the strands of her hair.

You held the door open for her and she stepped inside with a glance up to you as she did

"Thank you Elijah."

She looked around the room to the others that were gathered within enjoying a drink maybe something to eat. She took note of that flickering flame one that burned in tribute to the one for a distant land that had been called away. She did not know the one that had left but from how the people gathered here paid respect she knew they had been great.

She turned slightly to look at you reaching for your hand a soft smile up to the one she loved deep and protected her so fiercely

Holly gently checked the gun when you set it down, turning it so the ejection port faced up and she could glance into the still-smoking chamber.

Fucking up a good thing, well that was on her. Brix deciding to embark on Poly curiosity of his own, beyond just Dax, was an expected consequence. He always had to one-up her, make up all sorts of excuses for why Dax didn't count, but… that was not for your ears, not today.
