Another laugh at that, amusement twinkling now. "It does, actually. Though I certainly aim to try." That as a hand lifts to brush some of that curtain of hair back behind your ear, fingers lingering along the line of your jaw. A different kind of handling than you were implying, but still.

You avoid again, and something like anxiety stirs. At odds with the growing heat, and that at odds with their desire for something solid.

"Desire for access, huh?" They're on the verge of trying to tumble you, when you stretch down to kiss them again. Hand smoothing up along your spine to urge you more solidly against them, though less so for the warmth. "Didn't we cover that one at rehearsals?" No, they are not talking about you and Brix in this moment.

A low groan at the knock on the door, at the interruption. "Timing, people, timing."

Well, given your position, and theirs - they are going to sit up and just scoop you up as they stand - they aren't sure they can do it, honestly, but it should be fun to try.

"The universe is knocking." If they somehow manage to get fully to their feet, still holding you, it'll be a win. They will absolutely carry you in the direction of the door. Tone playful, teasing, "ever feel like the universe wants you to have a conversation?"

but on a more serious note, I don't think any of us post particularly fast anymore, some of us (me..) probably never did. I like to think all of us have grown and matured, that we've changed as the world did in the years that have passed since we individually found our ways to this place, and the troubles of the past are behind us..

the concerns we may have had of not being good enough, fast enough, clever enough are not realistic, for there is no one to be compared to anymore going only by frequency of play to be found in the realm. We can either let this place quietly fade away or we can consider this a form of renewal, a rebirth to honour Suzanna and the good she did both as a RPer and as governor. The only way to attract people here is for people to be here. We have a community already, we have a discord (even though I'm not a member), we have the means to get people here, and therefore the means to attract new people.

I think I've started rambling, but there's probably a point in there somewhere and maybe someone more eloquent than I can find it and break it down for anyone who reads this. Anyway, I have plans to come back with a new character or two.. I don't really see what the Varius storyline has to offer anymore, but neither am I abandoning it so much as just letting it simmer on the back burner. I have ideas that need other characters, the type of character or background of that character matters not, so if you're looking for an opening into play I'm more than happy to speak to you, and I'm only a cork post or MSG away.
