The Stone Family VineYard and Brewery
As he worked, Stephen's thoughts occasionally drifted to the development of the Stone Ridge Rodeo Grounds, considering how these deliveries helped strengthen community ties and supported the family business. Each bottle was a testament to the Stone family’s commitment to excellence and heritage.

A big, grizzly white man, long hair and unkempt beard, know. As Swampthing, or Swamp, Swampy, Thing, the Thing approached Phil…. Thing was covered in jailhouse ink for the AB, the white power groups, swasticas, and the like. He was the current local Wood leader and it was well known he viewed Stick as a threat to his power and position

“That was good thinking. Cortez will kill the darkie and the rest of them will accept it like the will of God. No one else gets hurt unless they break the deal to abide by your ruling. We should do this more often. Carrot was right about you”

Phil didn’t like Swampthing. He smelled like he never bathed, he was big, fat and sloppy, with bits of food in his beard and on his shirt. The man’s existence disturbed the peace of the world around him. However Phil was really on his own here, although he was tied to the Woods by history and ink and reputation and past actions… a man alone in prison is a victim. He had to maintain good status for his safety. So he had to put up with this disgusting pile of flesh.

“You have something for me John?”

Almost no one called Swampy by his given name. It was so unusual that the larger man was surprised and his mouth sagged open a little. Before he could recover and answer

“It’s been delivered to your cell. All we could lay hands on. 22 volumes. It’s almost all of them”

Phil nodded, stood up and offered a handshake. Swampthing took the hand and tried the old b movie bad guy trope of squeezing the hand too tight but Phil had a firm grip of his own and it was a stalemate.

“See you around John. Take care of business”

With that, Phil separated from the larger man and wandered across the room with his trove of goodies

Stephen skillfully positioned the horses next to the sturdy wooden wagon, his hands firm on the leather reins. He began loading the crates filled with bottles of freshly distilled spirits onto the wagon, the glass shimmering in the fading light. The gentle clink of bottles sounded like music to him, a reassuring reminder of the quality and care put into each batch.
