'Essence' is a good 2nd stop.

NCPD
Trauma Team enters the precinct and retrieves Bargain Briggs, gets him into the first AV into stabilization and it flies off. They still have their rules. Seven minutes or it's free. This little standoff felt like half an hour, but seconds feel like minutes. It's been about seven, and that's all that counts.

The NCPD officers are giving bad looks. They collared Bargain Briggs fair and square. They haven't had to pull off pursuit because some Arasaka or Militech suit told them to, and said the magic words. They are in their own way, naïve, or mad that their power trip is superseded.

Sebastian's AV goes back empty. It was just support. As he walks back to his team, they spin up the jets and the backup medic walks over meekly.

We can do that? the fresh medic asks.

"If the policy is high enough, no one gets in the way." Sebastian responds.

Even if it were MAXTAC? the medic follows up, incredulously.

Sebastian steps up onto the AV as it begins to take up, joining up by the young medic's side as the AV takes off.

The NCPD officers outside the precinct, bitterly, lower their weapons and step aside. They learn a lesson that all the old grizzled officers also learned, and hate.
