the gash is bad, what if she's not like a human
and what I'm doing is

"If it actually began over 20-years ago, then how come I'm finding about for the first time now?"

just laughs

it happens so fast, expecting to feel
the claws then huge jaws crushing her neck
she sees you step out onto the path, a look
on your face she will never forget. Savage
snarling and going head to head with the cat.
Screaming your name she stumbles and goes down
and watches in awe as you throw yourself at the
big cat your knife flashing. The sound is awful
horrifying she can barely look but she can't look
away. If you die, she does too, but she'd give
her life right now for you to be safe.
Coming from the roll she tries to get up and
scramble out of the way when you shoot two arrows
in quick succession watching with wide eyes as the
beast goes down and lies still.
It all happened so fast she's in shock staring down
at it...then turning to you, running staggering to
you flinging her arms around your neck, sobbing your name...
then things go gray, and then black and she faints, sagging
in your arms, her head falling back. Blood has soaked
down her flank, the gash is deep and still running.

Going forward, the "Plains Admin" will be known as the "Camp Admin".

*hearing her scream the branches breaking

as he breaks thru the bushes
in the air....lunging ..
knife moves thru the air
into the big cats mouth...
thru the roof of it's mouth
and into its brain

rolling on the ground head
over heels, coming to my feet
bow drawn...
two arrows aimed at the staggering beast
waiting for it to collapse*

"Ithreal...
Ithreal...".

*the cat falls and hit's the ground
with a a thud...shuddering it's last breath*

"ITHREALLLL!!"

alas nothing

finding a door ajar

silent steps across the landing...carefully eyeing each room

I'd call it utter stupidity.

listening acutely and following the sound

grinning as I hear the buzz
