As a Free Woman what do you think keeps you Free?

Ya know I dunno honestly. Mostly cuz no one is dumb enough to want me as a slave again. ~laughs~
I make a horrible slave.
When I play a Free woman I try to walk the line, to not be too sexual, I try not to be to defiant or to bitchy. Though I oft fail at those things too.
So, again I don't know what keeps me free.
Unless you mean the question to ask what makes me personally play a free person rather than a slave.
and in that case
the thing that keeps me recreating as a free woman every time I am killed is that I don't believe that "free necks" exsist and that if men wanted me a slave I would be one. and since they haven't wanted me to be one in the last 15 or more years I remain free.

You don't make him feel judged. If you did, he'd still be doing his best to bury how he's feeling. You do make him feel seen. You'd even captured it on camera.

"No, I guess it's not." Fair, that is. "I don't even know if it's a secret." A wry curl of lips, for all that there's clearly upset behind it.

He deflates a little more at the idea this is affecting the play. It's about as good a motivator as you could give him to open up. One arm curls around himself, a small act of self-soothing, rather than seeming defensive.

A little shake of his head at that barely voiced question. "No. I mean, a little - if I weren't living with Dee, I'd be kind of screwed. My parents 'support' ended with graduation, and even then, didn't cover everything, so y'know, debt - but between us, we're doing okay. At least, we are as long as the play is a success." Okay, that maybe makes it more money stress than he'd considered before it started spilling out.

"It's just kind of everything? Elodie's beyond stressed, and I'm beyond stressed, my parents are going to be in town for opening night, which means seeing them, and there's just so much pressure." Even aside from Dee's upset over you, there is that pervasive sense of pressure, of constriction.
