"And since he kept worrying about the animals, it was hard to keep him patient waiting for the doctor and still while he was being checked out. Getting the cast was a whole thing, he couldn't decide what color he wanted and changed his mind at least half a dozen times before he finally stuck with the black. He would have gotten every color if he could have, I think. That was why we just didn't worry about the sling, by the time he got his cast on, he was just done. Oh, and he heard me ask about the stuff for Kevin, and that got him upset and I had to reassure him we'd see Kevin when we got home, so thank god he was awake. I think if he wasn't, Jake would have just woken him up himself."
