He smiled, pushing up the sleeves of his button down shirt, completing his entirely too casual for his station look with jeans and a pair of very worn, but indulgently comfortable cowboy boots. His eyes did light up as he smiled and looked around himself. "I can't say I remember the last time I did this without a gaggle of Sunday School kids."

HE worries at his lip, head dipping down a little. He's keenly aware how new he is to all this, to having friends like this, and how deeply inept he feels. "Yeah," his voice is quiet, "I said it and, um, I didn't mean - I didn't think we should trust the guy - um, I shouldn't have asked, I guess."

You mention making a lot of enemies, which has him grimacing, the anxiety notching up. "I, um, I was kind of planning on them not knowing who I was? With the suit and - obviously, that's not, um, not a guarantee." It's his biggest concern, aside from straight up dying - bringing home danger to Briar.

"I know, um, I know he mattered a lot to Echo, and I think to IRIDIA." That's about all he knows about Maul, though.

He nods, somewhat sheepishly. "I just - information, knowing what's being passed along on the Net, that's part of my trade. And after Briar showed up in Calaity's, I couldn't' just, um, I couldn't just leave it. So I read it. And Echo's." If the info could be used against them, he wnated to know it. To prep for it, if he could.

A faint frown. "Oh, um - I wasn't asking you for it? I - I did ask Echo, but um, I guess either he or Haven decided against it." If they weren't giving it to him, well, he understood to an extent - it's private, he's still relatively new, and they had a lot of other concerns right now.

"Ideally, I actually would want to target, um, multiple variables and systems. They might have stuff built in to stop one, but uh - probably not all. It also will confuse how to undo it, um, make it take longer to potentially get them back online, and more focus and work."
