It has started in Caledonia when we were there, the spontaneous ride that Damnable took me on, but it was my grit that kept hold of those horns and refused to be shaken from him...it seemed at that point there was a bond that formed... we each knew our place, he was the animal, I was the human that stood between him and that pot of boiling roots and stock...and during the times I spent time with him it grew...I had preached to you many many times that if you would give him a break and accept him as more then just my pet, you would see his qualities and how they were many... so many times he has proven himself not only worthy of being the head of the herd but also a value to us and the village itself...but you were not easily warmed up to him...both of you were stubborn for sure

soon Damnable noticed the food wrapped up in cloths and paper and before he could get to it, I took some rope out of one of the bags and stood up looking to you

"Mate, can you hang these up as I tie each of them... they need to go up on those taller branches out of his reach?"

,you could get the taller ones and I knew this would be the way to keep the food out of the reach of animals...the last thing we needed was Damnable getting our midday food
