The ground changes underfoot as we step into the park proper and she feels a little tightness return to her chest at the idea of keeping vigilant about Guillermo.

You know her well, perhaps you can see the extra shine in her eyes when you say she's not alone anymore and she steals a glance up at you. Her cheeks are pink, displaying one of the few emotions she can. A small whisper, "Thank you."

She thinks she has to let him go and if he tries something with her in the future, she will end him, but now...... she looks up at you sidelong as she catwalks beside you. "Guillermo isn't what matters in my life anymore. The second I realized I put you in harm's way just so that I could get to him, I knew... the lives of people I care about are more important than ending the life of someone I despise."

Her arm brushes against your sleeve, the fabric feeling rough against smooth skin, and she feels a tug at her heart when you say she's there for you. She is and she'd do anything you ever needed, though you don't ever seem to want for anything. It's always her leaning on you. But she nods, "I'll always be there for you. Anything you ever need that I could provide."

There's a cluster of women gathered ahead on the left, breaking out into boisterous laughter as friends do, and she shifts against you to give them a wider berth as we walk past them.

You stop and she lingers there with you at the drink stall, "Whatever you're having, please." She's about to insist that she wants to buy for you, but you're too fast and you pay yet again. Both of her hands curl around the water bottle, like she needs something to hold, and she moves into languid hip-rolling steps alongside you once more.

You tell her you need a favor and she gets a warm rush, a bit of a thrill to think she could do something for you. "Yes, please, whatever you need. What can I do to help?" It's hard for her to imagine she's got anything to offer you.

He watched from his place of cover in the reeds. He looked over to the rencer that drew the short reed. Timing was important. They didn't want to move too soon as to be detected but not too late as there should be some activity on the skiffs to cover any noise they might make.

They note the first one had laid back . It would not be long until the darkness caused sleep in all of them. The moons were out but not shining brightly leaving many shadows across the water.
