"Well, it's just one of the many perks of being with you, Ace,"

she replied warmly, taking another sip of her lemonade.

She chuckled at his playful question about breaking any woman rules.

"Oh, I think I can handle a little lemonade-making without stirring up too much trouble,"

she teased back, her hand still resting gently on his cheek.

Her gaze shifted to the fenceline gazing at the task he had undertaken alone.

" Can I help you get this done faster maybe? I'm sure I can lend a hand,"

she offered, eager to help in any way she could. "Maybe I can hold the wood in place while you hammer? Two pairs of hands might make the job go a bit quicker."
