Even when the Screaming started, she didn't react to it at first, like maybe she could buy EZ Mike that extra split-second of advantage that he needed to get as good of a run-up as he could, but once you looked away from her there was no real pretending anymore.

Bat comes in, she leans way back like there was any possibility of getting clipped in a stumble or tragic miscalculation, and that solid mass crack of a connection sounded so sure, so resolute that she had to assume that was the end of you.

Because the job here was to dispatch the target, and she knew in her heart of hearts she wasn't taking any sort of joy out of it. Merely being instrumental in getting that inhibitor locked on.
