And it was, like, an empathic thing, right? She was pretty sure you were also picking up on her vibes, whether they were dressed up like Alice or voiced like Alice, they nevertheless conveyed because Holly was originating all the emphasis.

But she found a place within herself, actually, that sincerely felt compelled to assuage your discomfort as she released a bit of the tension that had propped her up on trembling puppet strings a second earlier, tuning down so that her nerves weren't affecting your nerves.

Like it was no big deal. "Relax, Leo — it's just a boner. Remember Alice pledged not to read into the subtext of a boner?"

Of course in spite of her taking custody of her behavior, her body was in disagreement. That flush retained, kept her heart at a jog, and would instill a tremolo to her voice if she strained too hard.

But she kept her low tone of voice as her expression shifted from embarrassed to secondhand nervousness to put-upon calm… back to a kind of concern as she lowered both her face and her voice again. "…oh my god I didn't even consider — how are you feeling in terms of the… erm… other thing that we spoke about? Does this feel dysphoric for you? I'm so sorry if it is…"

Holly glanced about at the periphery once again, at the myriad staff that were still bumbling around taking care of things or actually taking the break as prescribed, her free hand fidgeting at her hair.
