It was by design. It was also a bit of a statement of how he sees himself, but he doesn't tell people that part. Obviously.

Every time they've interacted more socially, he's been on the awkward side, even on the Net. Plus, he's just kind of an anxious guy. He doesn't love leaving his house, but he's working on it. His house has now expanded to Fables, and Briar's. "You're, um, welcome."

A slow nod. "I couldn't remember if, um, I suggested, or you asked. Both? I said food, not drinks, you said noodles." He thinks. "Mama YumYum's is amazing. I, uh, didn't know the nutritional value, but am going to remember it."

After a moment, he'll settle in the sling. As he does, dark eyes slide to the virus and he relaxes a little bit more, feeling a bit more in his element.

"Yeah. I'm starting to think Echo knows and is, um, friend with everyone, at this point." It is funny, and a small world.

He brightens a little more as he accepts the bowl, and then the eating tools. He appreciates the order of it all. A thing he also knid of likes, at least with his things.

The fact you don't seem to tease him, or judge him from not being sure is actually the most reassurig possible option. It doesn't erase the anxiety, but it helps immensely, and the relief likely shows. "Oh, uh, good. Um." He blinks. "Not a lot works for me? Mostly just Briar. She's, um, the girl I told you about. We're monogamous, so, um, glad it isn't a date, too. No offense.

"Okay, cool. That seems very, um, very reasonable. I don't want to have to give my consent if I'm bleeding or dieing or something." No sense feeling bad about that.

"No, I think we should talk about work, too. Tight deadline. And, er, complicated."

He's going to follow suit, nabbing his own chopsticks and then a gyoza, popping it into his mouth and chewing. You get an understanding nod, the nod of a guy who also forgets to eat not infrequently.

"Closed is fine. I'm, um, I'm kind of always like this." A vague gesture with his chopsticks, meant to encompass the nerves he knows he's giving off. "It's not a, y'know, a you thing"

I am sorry that I have been MIA and quiet on this front, but I am going through some health issues right now, and I am unable to put the time and effort into putting this together this year.
