It really wasn't the first thing on her mind when she got dressed. It was more of a , what do I feel like wearing or what's more comfortable for what I'll be getting into today.

She's not a fashion hound, or is it fashion horse? Whatever it is, that's one animal she's not. She wears what works for her. Not to say she doesn't have a few nicer outfits for work or the fancy events she has to attend for work.

"Working keeps a roof over my head." she smirked again as she watched you look over the menu.

"I haven't had anything here that hasn't been good. "

She couldn't remember if she'd been here with you before or not. She really likes this place. It's one of her new favorites.

You brought up the dart and she leaned back in her chair and fixed those intense blues on you.

"Yeah, about that." she swiped her fingertips along the side of her glass. Tracing through the condensation that had gathered against the glass.

"I've been really trying. Things just aren't going to work out for that trip right now. I've just moved and I'm trying to get things together. It's not a no, it's just a not right now. "

There were other reasons, reasons she really didn't want to go into . Things that she didn't share.
She wants to take a trip, but right now she just isn't in the headspace for it. She's not lying about the move, and so much to be done still and no time at the moment.

There was just another big reason why she had been putting it off. A reason she's not ready to talk about yet.

"It's just a lot, princess. Right now is not a good time. I hope you understand."

Those intense blues softened just a bit, hoping that you wouldn't be too upset.

"Maybe instead of a trip we can just plan a girls night some night. Do something closer to home?"

"I hope she realizes not everyone in Covell Canyon is like smelly man, and I would like to meet your new friend. He smiled at those words and turned slightly pointing straight behind him

"It is pretty much a straight line from the river that way kinda off to the right. It is quiet a distance though."
