As a Free Woman what do you think keeps you Free?
It's not hard for a Gorean man to endure the insolence of a free woman. Seriously, the honor and integrity of Men. Contrary to popular online-isms, true FW are not just hoping to be collared. I play a FW because I am strong and independent. I've been called "mouthy and opinionated". If you know me though, you know the truth behind that is that I am outspoken when it matters. I value my freedom. I earned it long ago and behave accordingly. I'd be a holy terror of a soon to be dead slave.

What is your view on face stripping?
I've never seen it done in role play but always felt it was a vulgar threat or warning to a FW's impending demise. Until recently, I only ever "lived" in areas were veils were rarely if ever used. Now, I find the fates have placed my character in Tor and the rules make veils optional. I tend to wear them, especially around those not well known, because in the books its traditionally custom for the region, even slaves wore them. Even Men covered their faces, there's a whole lot of sand blowing around in the desert!

Is there a real need for Free Women? Why?
Yes, of course! FW are precious and were actually more abundant in the books than the slave, though far less seen than we are in RP. Realistically FW are necessary for the survival of the race. Strong women may be challenging but, aren't we here for the challenge? FW undeniably enhance the storyline. It's true FW didn't get out much in the books, and some adaptations are necessary for role play because if there is no interaction there is no role play. Same with travel and other nuances. We have to balance "by the book" with writing the story, or there isn't much to write.
