DiningRoom
Vanessa's movements in the kitchen were deliberate but tinged with a sense of unease. Her mind was preoccupied with the events that had transpired out by the barn, the presence of the marshal stirring up a whirlwind of questions and concerns. Though she tried to focus on the task, her thoughts kept circling back to the encounter, her brow furrowed in deep concentration. As she set the table and brought the pot of soup to the table, her movements faltered, her hands trembling slightly as she grappled with the weight of the unspoken words hanging in the air. The fact that something had occurred, something significant enough to warrant the marshal's presence, yet she remained in the dark, left her feeling unsettled.
Setting down the bowl with only a single scoop of soup, Vanessa sat at the table, her gaze fixed on Ace, a silent plea for answers lingering in her eyes. Despite her efforts to conceal her inner turmoil, the tension in the room was palpable, a quiet reminder of the unanswered questions that loomed overhead.
She reflected back to what you said about being hungry, and the lines grew deeper on her brow.
"Really?...that's all you have to say? Nothing like, Oh Honey you will never guess what happened the other night in town.....I see...So much for sharing everythin' huh..."
The more she thought, the more it became about something else besides not knowing.

Like I said, it’s a tradition…passed on from generation to generation…and those guys in Ann Arbor get mad because we don’t hate OSU or ND…we just beat them with more regularity than M does…*s*
