Her breath catches when you reach across and she thinks you're going to take her hand and she's not sure how she'd react, and then you don't do it. Your big hand just there near hers, close but not taking. She exhales and smiles, not sure why, but there's a thrill at the momentary apprehension and then you pulling back at the last moment like that.

She laughs when you talk Shakespeare, "I wouldn't know. I've never been in love. I'll have to trust you and Billy Boy on that one. It looks like a lot of suffering and torment from where I'm sitting." She laughs about the misguided mimes, "Are there any other kind?"

And then you brush your pinky against her wrist while talking about hedge jumping and weighing pros and cons. "Accentuate the positive? Eliminate the negative...?" Yes? No? That old song? She's out of time.

And then, almost as soon as you made contact, you pull your hand away on that laugh and she is watching you, her eyebrows climbing when you mention your girlish figure. "Not even a coconut bra and grass skirt would convince me."

About her life being fulfilling, she nods, "It is. Sometimes, I feel like I'm walking a tightrope and the idea of upsetting the balance..." again, her voice trails off, as it does. She shrugs a little, but she smiles.

She gets it, running her own business, paying herself poorly, sinking non-billable hours into it when she is meant to be eating or sleeping. "Building something takes sacrifice."

She leans back as well and smiles at the server, "thank you," as the platters are set in front of us. There's laughter as you whistle and tell her to dig in.

It's so much easier when the options are right in front of her, something different about that from when it's a list of items on a page that she has to translate into real world food combinations. This is much easier.

Her eyes find yours, "Thank you," said seriously, and then she smiles and serves herself a couple of tablespoons of mac and cheese, a drumstick, some greens and a little square of cornbread.

Smirking at you as she looks at her plate and allll the rest of that food, "I'm expecting to see you eat it alllll. I mean. If you really do want to impress me." She can't quit grinning even as she chews.

a smile caresses her painted lips as she feels the slap of your enormous hand upon her flesh, she notes the beasts ears twitching and she tries hard not to annoy him anymore than she already is as she slides back against Master trying not to be to forward …perhaps. There were many Raiders doubled up and she hoped she wasn’t causing any discomfort being the third upon the beasts back, at least her petite frame wasn’t heavy unlike some of the slaves she had met int the kitchens of late.

All seemed lost int heir own thoughts as they moved on in silence , the terrain was quite rugged underfoot and break from running was welcome as that slave she tackled was stronger but syn is feisty and doesn’t give up in a battle.

That deep low voice with tones like the rumble of a stampede reaches her ears and for a moment an emotion she had not felt for a very long time ran through her body…

Just for a second, there's a blink when you tell her Haven is a beautiful name.

I'm pretty fond of it. I chose it, actually. After The Center, when I was free to choose. I couldn't remember my name... from before.

Knowing you need connections, knowing you need her, it nudges her to open up more than she typically would. Also, knowing that what she's telling you is public information makes her feel a little more free with it, though her volume has dropped so that it would take a measure of intention for someone to listen in.

While she asked for what she can do to help, when you tell her, it feels like a lot. But she doesn't let that show, mannerisms schooled and controlled. Instead, she smiles at you. When you mention that her safety and Echo's safety is most important, that tension eases some.

Though she wouldn't really know where to begin. Introducing you to people your age, or at least your apparent age, would be fantastic, but she isn't sure she knows any, actually.

~I grin and SMACK your right hip and ass-cheek with a big right paw, riding off with the remaining Raiders .. Another successful Raid indeed , and I'm not sure just yet , but this could be a very useful bit of evidence for my little mission here..

Once its clear that they aren't chasing us , we will slow some and we will slow our pace, but we won't stop until we near the coastal city of Bazi..

.. I don't stop to transfer you to another Raider , as there are several Raiders doubled up like Budo and Luna are.. My left hand rests against your belly as the big black easily carries all three of us, as strong as he is .. We ride quietly for awhile , none of the Raider talking , as friends were just lost and left behind, but most of them were finished off with the retreat, but the ones capture will do what they need to to survive..

It's been a minute since we had City Council play, but we could start that up again, if there's interest.

We need: 5 or 7 players - not characters, players - to meet up once a month for a 2 hour meeting and various play as requested by non-council members.

Hell, we could handle a mayor, if anyone wants to run for that. The council can run just fine without one.

There's a cheat sheet for abbreviated Robert's Rules of Order for council play in the Council Chambers if you want to bone up on how the two-hour session works.

We're coming up on OG election season - Memorial Day to Labor Day (roughly) where there's campaigning and voting and an election returns clambake on the beach.

I was the guy who ran them in the past, and I can make that happen again, if there's interest.

OOC agreements: you will only have one vote per issue. If you have a Mayor character and a council character, only one can vote. You can't make five characters and vote with all of them, that's just sad, please don't.

Aside from that, ask questions and express interest here. Shall we start it up again? I'm game.
