Taking in the round table, and as you hold the chair for me, I seat myself as if I were wearing the finest dress, it would seem evidently that I too, have manners.Thank you Captain.
The Moniker was sticking but I'd be selective about when I used it. Lifting my glass as you take your seat, settling my eyes on you as you speak. Now enlightened about the trip on the 'dinghy' which was clear that I was enjoying.
Meatier? And no, I don't mind.
The salve was out of your mind it seemed so I wouldn't bring it up. I set my drink down and unfold my linen napkin, and drape it over my lap. What's on your mind?
sheathed?
Listening as you chatted a moment with the waitress, she never moved her hands enjoying your touch. You actually caused her to blush a little when you said she was attractive. Then you told her what you knew about her so far and she smiled.
"Well I live in a Manor with a staff and security. I do own my own plane and there is a yacht I'm looking at buying. My parents were murdered, I did NOT have a pleasant childhood despite the money. My father was in to Finance and got to know people through that and his ventures expanded. I am an only child and I am fluent in french. I have a dark side, and....."
(she leaned in to whisper)

It's strange and uncomfortable, having people take care of them without getting paid to do it. Not bad, per se, but vulnerability is deeply disconcerting.Briar and Perry have both been kind of on watch with them - and Briar, sure, they can kind of understand, but not so much the boyfriend. Or how said boyfriend found them. That's a conversation they're saving for when they have the energy to have it.
They wouldn't still be here without Briar and Nyxa's intervention. That's another thing they're trying not to think about too much, definitely not yet. Briar has been cooperating with that, but they're pretty sure it's just a matter of time. Someone is going to want to talk to them about it.
The list of things they're not thinking about is kind of long. How to explain this to Nyxa Fulgor is top of mind, for all they've avoided it this far.
The physical reality is harder to ignore. All of this felt much shorter, and also much longer, when the Corpo was footing the bill for their recovery. Not an option right now, which means they're putting up with the weakness, the general feeling of shititude that is the natural result of the bender they went on combined with the near death experience. They've settled at a table in the corner, out of the way, positioned to keep an eye on the room - and also so they have the wall to lean against. Undoubtedly, they look infinitely better than they did the last time Nyxa saw them - but they don't look good, either. They've managed to make the fact the wall and seat are doing most of the work of holding them up, because it's the kind of thing they're good at. At least, they're good enough to fool most people.
Nyxa isn't necessarily most people.
They're nursing a drink - not alcohol, because Briar had refused to serve it to them, and told the staff not to, besides. So they're nursing a cola, which doesn't have the same cool vibes of their norm, but is better than nothing.
As they nurse it, eyes stay on the room and the door, keeping an eye out for their expected company.
lightly eye contact is made with our server."Two waters, a peach brandy for the lady and a tequila for me, por favor."
Meanwhile he drops off the menus. I am in no particular hurry.
"Have I mentioned yet how attractive I find you?
And I know hardly nothing, yet. I think you came from France and really it's all I know."

a large round table centers the expansive deck, with only two chairs and table setups, next to each other
pulling out your chair, then taking my own seat, our drinks at our placeswondering what gets this one's motor going, or has her chosen profession made her frigid
we'll start with the business approach
this is a reward for doing a bang up job on that problem we had
I promised you something meatier
do you mind if we mix a little business with our pleasure?

She smiled at the story of your mother nodding a littleWhen your hand touched the top of yours she touched the top of yours for a moment.
"I think I would like a peach brandy for a change"
she pondered on it a moment before nodding that, that would be what she would liked.
"Oh as well as a glass of water please"
