Lucas said, his words barely above a whisper.

"And Keziah, I owe you one."

He winced as Keziah applied pressure to the wound, but he knew her expertise would be crucial in preventing further harm until the doctor arrived.

"Just get me patched up and back on my feet,"

Marshal Colton McCallister quickly scanned the room, assessing the situation. Seeing Keziah’s determination, he nodded, recognizing that any help was better than none in this dire moment.

“I need you to help Lucas until the doctor arrives. If you can stop the bleeding, that’ll buy us some time.”

He crouched beside Lucas, squeezing his shoulder reassuringly, careful to avoid the wound.

“Reed, Keziah's going to take care of you now. Help's on the way.”

Standing up, Colton glanced out the window to check if the boy was going to the courthouse. He then turned back to Keziah.

“Tell me exactly what you need—bandages, water, anything. I’ll get it for you.”

Pausing momentarily, he added,

“And don’t worry, we’ll find those bastards. They won’t get away with this.”

She is from the Den alright just not part of the pack in that she doesn't work for Lucas, she is part of it cause she is Lucas's women. She would have liked to meet you under different circumstances though, but guess now is as good a time as any

She kneels down in front but off to the side looking to your shoulder then into your eyes, concern mixing with the worry in her eyes

"That's one hell of a scratch no need to be tough guy with me, you been shot Lucas."

She lfts her hands and as gently as she can slips you coat off that shoulder, undoing your shirt to expose that shoulder

Lucas had told her he was going to be on duty and would be home late, so when she woke after finally being able to fall asleep, and he wasn't there she thought she would check her for him first. She thought he might be helping at the courthouse and would have went there next, if she had not walked in and found this.

She does know how to tend to bullet wounds as well as knife wounds, the kind of life she has lived so far one tends to learn that stuff. She can also help get him to the doctor which ever would be faster and better for Lucas

"Marshall let me know how I can help"

She had heard Lucas say something about two masked men and an escape doesn't sound good at all to her

Figuring you must be one From the Pack pretty much as Reed likes to call all them at the den. Its a guessing game really since he has yet to meet anyone in reeds life lately.

Lucas stirred as he heard the familiar voice of Keziah Jones. His vision was blurry, and pain shot through his shoulder, but he managed to focus on her face, worry etched into her features.

"Keziah..."

he groaned, trying to sit up but failing. "

I'm...I'm fine. Just a scratch."

He glanced around the room, seeing the empty cell door ajar and the blood trail leading from where he'd been attacked. The sight of Colton giving instructions to the young boy reassured him somewhat, but he knew they had to act fast.

The moring sun was shining brighter now, and he spotted a young boy kicking a can down the dusty street.

"Hey, kid!" Colton called, urgency in his voice. The boy looked up, startled, and then trotted over.

"Yes, sir?" the boy asked, wide-eyed.

"I need you to take this note to the courthouse, to Eleanor Thompson. It's important. Can you do that for me?" Colton handed him the envelope.

The boy nodded vigorously. "Yes, sir! Right away, sir!" He took the envelope and dashed off towards the courthouse.

Satisfied, Colton turned back to the jail. He needed to get a doctor for Reed. And that is when he noticed you Keziah...what were you psychic? it didnt matter right now though he was just glad to see you , hopefully you knew something about removing a bullet or caring for such a wound or you could just aid in getting him to Doc Morrow faster.

"Hang in there, Reed. The doc's on his way,"

Colton said, trying to reassure him.

"We'll get those bastards, I promise."
