This funeral should be about Rei. Maybe it is for the people who could leave. For the ones who've stayed, for the Claws, it's less about Rei than it is about who killed her.

Hideo moves among them. They pay attention when he speaks. Some get words of comfort. Shin, who'd dated Rei for a while and mostly works on keeping eddies moving where the Claws want them to move. Asa, who'd been there the night of the fight and sported a fresh scar on one cheek and a fresh tattoo to match it on the other.

Others get Hideo's hardass voice. Tank, who snuck in a bottle of malt liquor and is intent on going straight from the funeral to Mox territory to "burn it down." Hokkaido Joe, who was there the night of the fight and 'greeted' Hideo by asking him when he was going to get off his ass and do something.

Most get a mix of the two. Mourn today. Let it be about the woman they all lost. Tomorrow.
