"Giraffes are surprisingly sturdy and, I find, handle surprisingly well. Far better than a rhino." He nods as his own blues gaze at the menu a moment before glancing up with a smile. "The turning on those are simply horrendous." When the mention of riding anything comes he fails to hold back a grin before watching the pretty girl adjust herself properly once again. "The trick, you see, is to make sure you have a very firm grip. You just grab hold, tight, and lean into it. That way if you find, for some reason, you could be thrown off, you have a lower center of gravity to ensure you hold down on top and make sure you finish the ride properly. Nothing so frustrating as an unfinished ride." He says it with a knowing air while peppering the words with just enough less than subtle innuendo to maybe make the pretty girl blush again, because he enjoyed it rather muchly.

"Oh?" His brows rise with some surprise when she mentions that she doesn't date, though understanding how life can tend to catch attentions and demand more than what free time allows. "Now see, I would have thought a pretty girl like you would have been chasing them all away. Boys, girls, mimes.." He ads the last part with a wink before a serious smile appears upon his lips. "Then tonight is all the more enjoyable knowing that I've somehow wrestled you away from obligation." His head tilted slightly at the question of how he asked her to this very moment before laughing. "Do you mean, do I ask girls out often or..?" He trailed off teasingly, allowing that to simmer a moment before the tease ebbs from his tone.

"The first thing I notice on a girl is her eye, truthfully. You have very beautiful blue eyes and, at that moment, I told myself.. self, try and see if that girl will suffer some time with you." He nodded once firmly before smiling again. "But no, I don't just do that very often either.. but, in the interest of fairness, I have asked girls out before." He grinned somewhat.

He glanced back down at the menu and nodded at her statement about the smells of the food here. "Does smell delicious, doesn't it?" He peeked up and watched her study the tables, the server bringing food. "How about this, since we've both never eaten here why don't I pick a couple three orders and we can try a few things rather than just one each? How's that sound?" He paused and then added. "I never thought to ask if you had any allergies or anything like that.." His brows furrowed, a friend had a shellfish allergy and he knew he'd at least seen shrimp on some plates here.
