"Sorry. There was a noise in the kitchen and I went to investigate with the knife I keep in my desk drawer."Nods.
"And I agree. I need to get some sleep. But it's not gonna happen if I force myself to do it."
Shakes her head.
Damn man
She was almost constantly smiling when she was around you. She liked that. She pushed off her lean and sauntered on over to give you a kiss.
Her attention returning to your sorry corpse, she held the camera tightly against her waist and peered down into the viewfinder, taking her time focusing and framing the scene before the pressing the shutter down. As the magnesium flash held up by Livingston went off with a loud bang she blinked furiously, as if that would more quickly dissipate the sudden blindness “Aïe! I will never get used to that!”But then she had said that about the camera itself in the first place, telling Alexander Kincaid in no uncertain terms when he had insisted she try her hand at photography that he might as well try teaching a monkey to make funny faces.
And now look at her.
Of course, it helped that the camera was smaller than anything currently on the market, or would likely be available on general sale for a while yet. The Scions were ‘canny buggers’ as the Scots would say and had always invested heavily in a broad range of industries to give them early access to the latest developments. In this case their investment had saved her from having to grapple with the far bulkier tripod cameras that were in standard use.
Her eyesight finally returned she moved closer to the chaise and crouched down beside you, her head canting as she regarded your dead body up close with an almost forensic intensity.
“Livingston? Do you think there is enough blood?” she asked the butler.
Port Kar
three most important words not questions lol
Port Kar
She was surprised at that, her head tilts as though he must be jesting. Had he not hired in the past? Well, she would not push to know such things so she would say, "Well, any supplies to be replaced or required are individually priced out, and then my time ranges between thirty to forty silver a day. I don't just sit, I do make my rounds and I look for people who are hiding injuries, whom don't look right, .. I call it wellness checks. I'm not there to tell them how to do their jobs, but if someone looks rough or not in the game, I pull them aside and ask the three most important questions anyone could ever ask another human being. " There was a slight pause and she said .. "Are you okay?"
How are you baby?
You really need to get some sleep
Market
*listening to what you would do and nodding, part of me couldn't help but wonder is perhaps she thought I was sloppy when it couldnt be further from the truth, but then she also made some good points that I had not thought of as well. We would see how everything worked out*Alright, we can arrange for a time and day to do all that. *listening to your choice of words and unable to help but smile* We shall see. As for money, you have me at a disadvantage. I have no idea what a healer's fees are these days. Usually when I got stitched up, when I awoke the fee was already gone from my coin purse.
Giggling at the sexy robot
Thanks hun, but what does a girl need to
do to get a kiss???
Stepping in here, taking up a lean, and smiling while undressing you with her eyes."Your coding is amazing, baby."
shakes off real life after being pulled away
She arched a brow and flicked you a look at your addressing her so formally. As far as she was concerned, as far as she had always been concerned, you were both downstairs denizens of the house and as such enjoyed a camaraderie that she tended to avoid with those upstairs. As she took the camera from you, she shook her head with an indulgent smile. “Non. Everything down here is, how you say… sauvegardé.”
Except poor blood-splattered Angus Balfour apparently.
Looking in this morning
As the butler for this wing of the Eidyn House complex, he had seen many things in his time, both weird and wondrous. Today’s sorry spectacle would count among those memories for him, now.Ever stoic, the grey-haired man inclined his head and turned to fetch the camera which was already close at hand. “Of course, ma’am.”
He knew that many found the diminutive French woman brusque or dare he even say, intimidating, but to him – and so many of the other staff, she had ever been a delight. He would, if pressed, even go so far to say that she felt, at times, like a daughter to him.
So he indulged her in this, as with many other things, even as he gave a slow shake of the head upon considering the fallen and bloodied form of young Balfour. Yes, he would indulge her even in this.
Easing the case open, he gently, reverently even, retrieved the camera from within and passed it over to her, the magnesium flash platform held aloft. “Ma’am, should we be concerned about the smoke in these rooms?”
Exits stage left.
