She and all the other drivers -who were picking up or dropping off at the building she was at- near the Will Rogers World Airport in Oklahoma City had a tornado cross their path tonight!

She and others were called into the building and taken down two floors into the storm cellar. I am glad they didn't make them stay in their semi's .. Oy what a ride!

Elarra noticed the man’s approach, his gaze fixed on her with a mixture of curiosity and something else she couldn’t quite place. She held her ground, her heart beating a little faster, both from the novelty of human interaction and the unfamiliarity of the situation. Her long, white hair and elegant dress had already set her apart, drawing the attention she secretly feared and desired.

She took a deep breath, steadying herself. As he drew closer, she offered a tentative smile, her deep blue eyes reflecting the lamplight.

“Good evening,”

She said softly, her voice carrying a melodic lilt.

“I’m new to Covell Canyon and couldn’t resist the urge to see the town at night. It’s quite different from what I’m used to.”

Her words were carefully chosen, revealing just enough to pique his interest without giving away too much of her own mystery. She waited, curious to see if she had gauged things right if she had gone about the whole approach, and what to say right or not.

His attention was caught by a woman he had not seen before, well she could just be new to him after all he has been gone for five years, so she could have moved here in that time. What caught his eye though was two things the color of her hair he had never seen that color before, and her elegant dress so unlike anything a woman would wear around here. Maybe a transplant from back east. He had to chuckle at that those tenderfoots back there thought they knew the west from all the nickel books they read, but they had no clue at all, and usually got chewed up and spit out.

The townsfolk barely glanced at her as she walked down the main street, her elegant dress setting her apart from the rugged attire of the frontier. It was nighttime, and the roads of Covell Canyon were mostly deserted, with only a few stragglers making their way to their destinations. She crept, unnoticed by the few wanderers and travelers still lingering in the shadows.

She made her way to the town's small square, where a couple of locals had gathered around a well, exchanging hushed whispers and the latest news. The flickering lamplight cast long shadows, adding to the mysterious atmosphere of the town at night.

She felt a thrill of excitement and a pang of nervousness as she stood there. She was no longer a mere observer but a participant in the world her father had once participated in. The weight of her journey settled upon her, and she felt a deep sense of purpose. She was here to discover her father's legacy, understand his life, and perhaps, in the process, learn more about herself.
