1) Is play between JAG and another site good for JAG? Does it help with JAG growth?

Though an interesting idea . . . I have to go with a "No".

I've not done site-to-site play with my "JAG persona" outside of Hyper-chat, but I think that for site-to-site play to work, the rules and anything added to rooms to "fill out the play" would need to be the same on both sites - which it wouldn't be. Each site puts their own spin on how they want their role play to go.

A room in JAG - any of them - would not play the same, nor have the same personality as rooms with the same name on other sites. It's obvious why. The various personalities that mesh there, their hierarchy, how the rules can vary, how they "see" their area within their "site called Gor" . . . different. Recent happenings have spotlighted that.

I believe that each site is separate and should stay that way.

Exceptions would be visiting another site for a festival, forum, spar or special event in your JAG persona. That could be a lot of fun, but going to another site to integrate into their normal role play as your JAG persona . . . nah.

If one desires to join another site and jump into their role play, create a character for that site and go for it.

.................

2) Do you continue the play if site xyz pulls out of all play? N/A

.................

3) Can we at JAG agree on basic rules for this type play?

I'd say "No" because "We at JAG" have issues even agreeing on our own JAG rules.

.................

Anyway - to each his own.

We're here to enjoy hassle-free time online with others of like mind . . . at least I am.

Have a good one.

Intrigued by the activities you seemed to be always
doing, she couldn't understand why you did them.
Making things, sharpening things...she hunches down
to watch you, fingers combing through her hair having
forgotten about the bone comb you'd used before.

1) Is play between JAG and another site good for JAG? Does it help with JAG growth?

There would have been a time I would respond to this question with, "I do not see the need actually but by saying that, I do not object in the least to having "cross-overs" as long as the rules are followed I can see it, in some cases, benefiting those mixing it up."

Now however my response is that the play here (and the people willing to play and get involved in FRONT of the screen) for a myriad of reasons is less and less and so having a different "pool" of players to come enhance and create stories is beneficial to all who are entertained by the play.

Recently a cross-over story caught my attention and brought me constant entertainment while it was going on. That is what it is all about to me... ENTERTAINMENT... that is why I am here... to entertain and be entertained and if getting people from another site wish to get together and "put on a show/storyline" then that is great, Following the rules though is key to being on the same page, so to speak.

As for growth, it will be like the movie "Ground Hog day" people will come and go just like they have been because I believe there are those that do not want growth...the only way to overcome it is to fight back by playing and ignoring those haters...only then will it grow and become stronger like it once was before my time in JAG...

2) Do you continue the play if site xyz pulls out of all play?

I would continue the play. Behind the scenes I might have other feelings of anger, disappointment, acceptance etc.. depending on the circumstances...but the "show" would hopefully go on in front of the screen...on the stage... or the show would be entirely archived and life goes on...again, it would depend on the circumstances and what went/is going down

3) Can we at JAG agree on basic rules for this type play?

Coming to an agreement with all involved at any site where there are people and personalities is like trying to get the politicians to agree and for the same reasons actually...my personal opinions come from years of watching how people relate and view things.

When many say this environment is like high school they come to that conclusion because the similarities are spot-on for that period in our lives where we were not speaking up our own personal opinions were instead agreeing with "friends" not because we thought they were right, but because we want to be part of the trends of the moment and the "cool" (I am dating myself using "cool' ..hahaha),we wanted to support them (even if falsely doing so by agreeing blindly) and the list goes on...they bully, coerce, name-call and try to manipulate situations and lies and gossip start as well as the "warnings" by anons to try and dissuade any brave enough to play with those who are not part of the "in crowd" here and at any chat/role play site.

I base my information as at many times being one of those targets...and yet here I am still swimming upstream to the popular vote.. that being said plays into the reason I am here.. I am here to entertain and be entertained...and after years of the bullshit, I have learned to play and surround myself with those that like my type of play or are tolerant in a good way of it...

We need rules so that we are on the same page and there is some type of structure or as I have said many times, we become "Lord of Flies" and run wild.

those that have hidden agenda's or are the "haters" of anyone being happy and succeeding in storytelling will always be here trying to call "foul" to any rules so that they can once again manipulate situations and people.

So can we all agree on rules here at JAG? No, not unanimously...but as a majority yes we can.

And as for people leaving the chat site...some will and some will stay and grow stronger and play past and around those others trying to bring hate to players. They will hopefully realize that there are those of us enjoying our time here and stretching to do more story telling at whatever level they are telling it. And if I have to gender-bend, dual play or make another character to do it in my own rooms and those rooms of the people I play with, then so be it...whatever makes my "story" work better but with my own personal rules of being honest with those I play with and smiting no one else for what they do in their own play...love me, hate me, ignore me... the "Show" still goes on...
