Our spring Symposium for the Temple was scheduled to start tomorrow...until sometime this afternoon, there was NO schedule...not even an outline...
now it appears we're starting on Friday...and honoring Kore (whose name is often pronounced like mine)...the Greek Goddess of Spring
since Baron Igor doesn't think we can set up zoom, i either have to attend everything or lose out...so i guess i'll be there...
unlike last year, they're falling back to the old plan of after dinner events...which always run past my bedtime...and then i have to drive home...but at least nothing starts before brunch at 10:00...
i'm not wearing robes this year...just some nice lounging dresses...with some ritual jewelry and crowns...most are simple circlets...but this one arrived yesterday...it's heavy...not something to wear when being active...but it's way cool, i think...(wig not included)
i may check in while having my morning coffee...but otherwise, won't be back until Tuesday...play nice, Yy'all...
excited
motivated

North Town
"Okay."He's all business though. Even though he's emotionally invested in you and your survival and happiness. And if you want to come with him, he's not going to stop you. He moves to the elevator. Stepping in and going back up.
It doesn't take long, just back out to the rooftop, to the AV. He grabs a couple of high profile cuffs, and then right back to the elevator to come back down.
"Don't listen to his taunting. What do you want to do with him?" He'd leave that part to you. For now. This was your ordeal.
Dogtown
You're a mess. More of a mess than she's ever seen you. But the look in her eyes is the same as always. It's clear that she cares about you, that she likes you as a person. But when she returns and Nyxa Fulgor is already crying, she gently touches the woman's shoulder, the one without her little speaker. A deep, calming breath. The urge within her to explain to Nyxa why she isn't surprised you're in such a state is kept at bay. Those are your secrets. She promised you she'd never tell them, and she won't.
Quietly, she moves around so she can face both Nyxa and you, Free hand moving to stroke lazily through your hair in that familiar soothing manner. Then she squats down to offer you a sip of the water.
Well... now you know.
But, of course I was worried. You never go that long without answering me.
And then you start to cry.
Oh, Icarus. It's alright.
She's not mad. Just worried.
Nyxa Fulgor
You're upset too, and she's trying not to let the emotions from you and Calamity trigger her own tears. Instead, that steady vibration, that subliminal influence toward calm. But she doesn't know you well enough for more than a touch to your shoulder. You start to clean up and she gives you a warm look. Then, a little shake of her head at your apology.
You were protecting them. No harm done.
Offering Calamity another drink of water, she looks to you when she sees you looking toward her. Everyone's upset. She's just holding hers together.
Thank you.
Quietly, she watches you go, grateful for the space with Calamity alone, but also understanding your need for a little space yourself. Those slate blue eyes drift back to Calamity once you slip away.
I'm going to be completely honest, not sure this is the best place for you right now, Pete. It's not safe and you're not well. But I can't exactly haul you out of here on my own through Dogtown like this.
Please don't make her try.
What're the chances I can convince you to crash at mine instead?
