Jarl Jonas the Red has declared the pyre for Ragnar of Tuchuk.Ragnar of Tuchuk died on October 13, 2023. It was fitting that he died on a Friday the 13th, not for him, but for the Goreans he left behind. We will miss him. Gor is poorer for his passing.
Ragnar had a life philosophy that he lived by all his own. Summarizing:
RAGNAR believes in the gods of the Torvaldslanders.
RAGNAR has been seen to pray to endless sky.
RAGNAR has little use for the intervention by the Priest Kings in his life.
RAGNAR believes Free Women have great value and if proper, should be respected and well cared for.
RAGNAR thinks the endless sky will know its own dead.
RAGNAR believes that it is harder to spare a life than to take it. And Harder to live than to die.
RAGNAR believes Warriors should lead, follow, or get out of his way.
RAGNAR believes that Honor is personal and one must measure his own. Often times that which is seen by others is called Honor, yet it is simply Chivalry in disguise.
RAGNAR believes there is beauty in simplicity.
RAGNAR believes in the importance of understanding honor and pride, and the importance of naught confusing them with vanity of one's ego.
RAGNAR believes one should always measure what is to be gained by what may be lost.
RAGNAR does naught hold with titles. A title does naught make a Man. A Man is a Man by any title.
RAGNAR believes it is better to stand alone on the side of truth and speak it for all to plainly hear, rather than hide amidst masses simply adding another weak and feeble voice to many squeaking from the shadows.
RAGNAR believes HONOR above all.
RAGNAR believes that when in doubt... ATTACK!!!
Ragnar will be given a Torvaldslander pyre on December 2, 2023 at 8:00 p.m. CST at the Inlet of Green Cliffs. (https://www.roleplayoasis.com/whochat/) The Inlet will be a safe zone for all for one hour prior to the pyre until one hour after the pyre ends.
Im not that visitor - Rianna. My name is Paul.....
In the situation with Donar's pyre, I don't think people understood that Kimba objecting to putting a bond on the fire-ship was simply roleplay. That's what Kimba would have done. This is different. OOC, I don't believe either Ragnar or Scott would want a live-bond on the fireship.
I am fairly certain that Ragnar would not have wanted a live bond on the fire-ship with him.
Well said Jarl.
