As this is topical, I am copying this from the Revo forum. It is helpful advice from rivers, one of the admins;Hey ReVoites!
As we have been welcoming some newcomers to our home we have found a slight resurgence of the coding issue that arose with the last server update. The back-end coding on rooms and forum has been fixed, but chatter codes can still trigger room malfunctions contingent on how the code is written.
The most common problems are the rooms eating your posts, symbols being added to your codes, your name being replicated in the room with multiple spacing variations or codes disappearing when traveling to a subroom.
The fix is simple!
First, ensure you don’t have any quotations in your codes such as or The quotations are no longer necessary. Simply coding as or will resolve nearly every issue with room compatibility. Also, don't use a # for your color code, ie: the # is unnecessary - simply code your color as
If you have no quotations in your coding then check the line of your ghost code. Starting your ghost code with a space, quotation mark or parentheses can cause the same malfunctions. Speaking of testing! We urge you to not test your codes in rp rooms as it is considerably disruptive. We have a room at the bottom of the whochat dedicated to testing codes linked here: The Laboratory
If you’re experiencing these problems and need or want help you are always welcome to reach out directly for troubleshooting assistance. We understand the need to modify your codes is inconvenient and we have renewed efforts to find an alternate resolution. In the meantime this is the fastest and easiest way to address the issue.
