the water making the sounds of it being close to finished....
she turns to take the larger grounds of the coffee...
listening to them gently falling into the grinder as she makes sure there is plenty....
pressing the button to pulse the grounds....
she makes sure the water is at the perfect temp.....
her steps lightly heard as she moves about...
turning on her heel she grasps the door pulling it slowly to her...
the touch of her fingers against the shelves as she moves through each mug....
taking one out....
and another....
knowing today is a day she feels the need for one herself....
once again turning to the touch of her heels....
How did you
Kniw I wanted coffee..*settles on the couch*
slowly gaining my strength as i walk about The Dungeon….cleaning as i go and checking on the others as i stroll past

voda,As I sit here I send prayers out to voda. The thought you having to go through surgeries and the recover processes associated along with them seem rough. I know deep in My heart that you will come through this because you are a very strong woman. Voda dear I am sure many here at Soi will be offering their prayers as well.
We all stand together as a tight community when someone has difficulties. Sending you hugs, kisses, love, warmth and many
Levels of strength to hopefully get you through your harsh time you are going through.Respectfully,
Vicky Higgins

reaches for the fresh food…gobbles it up as my appetite is strong…grabs the water to wash it downalmost instantly feels the nourishment spread through my body
peeking in
she moves slowly inside....
stepping from her slumber...
her body slowly stretching...feeling the deep breath as she moves inside...
arching her back as she steps inside the kitchen...
moving to get the things she needs to make some fresh coffee....
placing the water to the stove....
gathering the grinder and the coffee together ....
sees the lock has been opened…rolls over and crawls out….letting out a whimper as i stretch out on the cold floor…warming my joints before i rise to my feet
SELF-COMPASSION
Self-compassion has three elements:
- self-kindness,
- common humanity,
- mindfulness.
SELF-KINDNESS: Being warm and understanding toward ourselves when we suffer, fail, or feel inadequate, rather than ignoring our pain or flagellating ourselves with self-criticism.COMMON HUMANITY: Common humanity recognizes that suffering and feelings of personal inadequacy are part of the shared human experience—something we all go through rather than something that happens to “me” alone.
MINDFULNESS: Taking a balanced approach to negative emotions so that feelings are neither suppressed nor exaggerated. We cannot ignore our pain and feel compassion for it at the same time. Mindfulness requires that we not “over-identify” with thoughts and feelings, so that we are caught up and swept away by negativity.
When we’re kind to ourselves, we create a reservoir of compassion that we can extend to others.
