Alice was one year younger than I was. When we were little we played together. Our moms see, Our moms were so close. They were sweet. They loved us. We played on the farm alot, I remember the animals. Then grandpa died and the farm started to get worse. I am not sure when it happened but my mom met a man, you see my own father died when he was really young in a car accident and when my step father came into the picture, everything changed. He was terrible. He brought along with him the drugs. He drank and they all started with the drugs, hard drugs, not just smoking pot or light stuff like that. Heavy and horrible. We would hide and we would get away as much and as often as we could. As we got older. We were each others safe place, until Issac. When Issac came along it seemed like she was heading down the same road as our parents. Then she got smart. She left me a letter and told me she was going to stay with her friend Lisa, somewhere here in the city. She would find a way to get me there with her. We were going to get away from Ohio and never look back. Now, I have no idea what life will look like. I can't image what it will look like without my best friend, and well what was the only thing like a sister I have ever had. My only real family.
