Mr. Kirkpatrick was Unnerving to witness, a different brand of unnerving compared to Maul in his armor/life-support.

IRIDIA mentally balked at his sight and mannerism and then shuffled in after Echo and Perry, almost unthinkingly taking cover behind them. Perry was easily tall enough, right?

No amount of luxury or snacks was going to make her comfortable before someone like him, but she made an effort to go get seated as instructed anyway.

Her eyes were busy grabbing what little she could, in some remote chance any of it might be useful to her at some point in the future, or immediate future if these negotiations had any danger of going off the rails a bit.

But she couldn't be seen seated comfortably, constantly shifting a little this way and that, especially as Kendo's focus wavered wildly between the three of them.

Her eyes went to Echo Fenix.

The display on the front of the large gray metal desk in neon letters reads:

Kendo Kirkpatrick: Negotiator / Financial Advisor

The desk was messy. No paperwork in the future. But it was strewn with data shards and holodiscs. Some were still flickering and displaying bits of data here and there. When he sees the three of you, he jumps up out of his tall-backed leather chair. Smiling. Grinning. Because he has no mouth. Only teeth.

It's a sleeveless blazer he's wearing. Both his arms are pure chrome. And not very good chrome. It looked blocky and cheap. Probably hard to pull fabric over those arms without it getting caught. Someone must be in debt.

"Lady and Gentlemen..."

The entire lower half of his face was chrome. No lips. No tongue. White metal teeth are locked together when he speaks. So his entire voice is digitized. It sounded vaguely of Robocop if Robocop was a used car salesman.

Kendo extends both of his robotic arms at his sides. Palms up. Before slowly bowing his head. At no point does his 'hair' move. It's practically a follicled helmet.

"Welcome to the Hunter's Guild, Northern Branch Office. Please, come in. Make yourselves at home. Unless you're not housebroken..."

The laugh that follows is...harsh. "HA HA HA." That's literally what the laugh is. Those three words repeated a second apart.

Kendo gestures to the center of the room where several comfortable and fully functional synth-leather chairs are. All were facing a holo-projector screen on the southern wall. They fully reclined and had an assortment of canned beverages and snacks in the armrest compartments.

"Now..." Once you're all as comfortable as you can be.

He holds up both of his hands, clasping them together against his chest with both index fingers pointing outward.

"Someone...wanted...their...bounty...quashed." Kendo turns his body as he points, aiming his fingers back and forth between Echo Fenix, IRIDIA and Peregrine P. Olveira. Inquiring who this meeting was called for. He could just scan you and answer that question. But that lacked the personal touch.

"Kripto..." Echo sneers. Sounds like a name for an alien dog. But he'll leave it there. He doesn't want to risk an incident by threatening to kill a licensed member of your guild right in front of you. Richter was dangerous. Cunning. And a better techie than Echo was. But he meant what he said...

"Gracias." For delivering that quieter, less obvious death threat.

It was tempting to respond with a text right now. Ask IRIDIA and Perry what they were seeing. But he relents. Right now, he's focused. Wants to get this over with. Not wanting to risk the only chance he might have to wrap this up and go home.

The double doors are opened. Echo steps inside the office and has a look around...then freezes at the one who greets them...

Welp, that's a horrifying namesake. Given the nastiness that he's unleashed on his friends, and the collateral damage the guy is willing to accept... yeah, checks out.

While he isn't probing too deeply, he is tracking the potential vulnerabilities as best he can. Testing them - well, this isn't the time.

IRIDIA -

It's very likely his nerves are showing - but he doesn't think that's going to do too much damage.

While he doesn't react outwardly to the message, you get a response, similarly through their private comms.

::Same. I'm seeing potential vulnerabilities, but I'm pretty sure at least some of them are traps. Sticking to scans and staying alert.::

THe offices here are reminding him how deeplly glad he is he quite his job.
